Mei Chang's problem

A Chinese girl named Mei Chang studys in the Unite States. She is having trouble about she can’t understand what other people are saying and writing assignments. She should rewrite essays but she can’t understand teachers’ meaning. During the midterm exam, she got a C-. If she doesn’t finish the rewriting, she won’t pass the course. After a conversation, she misunderstood her teacher. All of them are because Mei Chang’s English is not good enough. And she never ask or answer any questions, be a volunteer in the class. She is afraid other students will laugh her poor pronunciation. She doesn’t take part in College Reading and Writing, and doesn’t ask her teacher questions during the office hours. Although her teacher wants to help her rewriting the essays. If she wants to solve these problems, first, she should make some new American friends. She can ask them for help. At the same time, it can improve her English, but they can’t give her professional suggestions. Second, she should attend to the Reading and Writing center. It can help meet more friends, and become extrovert. Although it will take her too much time of studying, and even make her can’t finish her homework on time. Third, she should to ask the teacher for help. Teachers are kind, they can give Mei Chang professional advice. Nevertheless, teachers are busy, like during a holiday, you’d better not disturb them.
