Stand and Deliver

Stand and Deliver is based on a true story. It describes a man named Escalante. He wanted to teach computer in the school, but the school was so poor, that there were no computers. So he taught math. When he entered the classroom, he got a surprise about the chaos. Nobody listened in the class. After the class, he discovered his car was stolen. Obviously, it was done by students. It was too difficult to manage them. But the teacher used some specific ways to teach them, and be convinced by students at last.
He tried his best to teach them, and took care of them. Not only about their studies but also the lives. One of the female students, because her father asked her to work as a waitress in their own restaurant, was not allowed to go to school any more. Escalante went to the restaurant and persuaded her father. He owned students’ respect. They began to study hard and got good results in the test. After the test , students went to the beach to celebrate.
Nevertheless, they couldn’t be convinced by the scores. They decided t retake the test, but they have only one day to study. Eventually, they accomplished wonderfully. And the school got the computers.
After seeing the movie, I feel do more communications between teachers and students is very necessary. Misunderstanding wouldn’t exsist.
